Pre-release product notice
SnapDrill Privacy Baseline
Effective date: August 26, 2026
SnapDrill is still in development and is not currently offered for public download. This page records the approved privacy baseline for the release candidate and will be reviewed again before distribution.
1. Local-First Design
SnapDrill is designed so its approved core workflow operates on the device. The on-device library is the canonical copy. NotBad Labs does not operate a server copy of that library as part of the first-release baseline.
2. Accounts
The approved core workflow does not require a SnapDrill-operated account or content service.
3. Analytics and Tracking
The first-release baseline does not include advertising, cross-app behavioral tracking, an analytics SDK, or a crash-reporting SDK.
4. Device Access
SnapDrill may request access to device features only when needed for an action you initiate. The exact permission disclosures will be reviewed against the final release candidate before public distribution.
5. User-Initiated Transfer
Exporting or sharing material is initiated by the user through system-provided interfaces. Ordinary device backup behavior is controlled by the operating system and the user's device settings.
6. Release Review
This baseline will be updated if the release candidate's behavior changes. A public build must link to a notice that matches the behavior of that exact build.
